Big News: Suicidal Ideation Warning Being Removed

FDA is requesting removal of SI/B warnings from GLP-1 medications including Wegovy (semaglutide), Zepbound (tirzepatide), and Saxenda (liraglutide).

The Data: FDA reviewed 91 trials with 107,910 patients and found NO increased risk for:

  • Suicidal ideation/behavior
  • Anxiety, depression, or psychosis

This is excellent news for the community!

This is great news about the SI/B warning removal! I remember when that warning first came out - it scared a lot of people unnecessarily.

Good to see the FDA actually did a thorough review with real data. 107,000+ patients is a solid sample size.

The compounding warning is important though. I’ve seen some sketchy β€œpharmacies” advertising on social media lately. Always do your research before ordering from anywhere.
