My 6-Month Tirzepatide Journey: Complete Data & Metrics

Hey everyone, Ben here. I’m a data nerd who tracks everything, so I wanted to share my 6-month tirzepatide journey with actual numbers.

Starting Stats (Aug 2025):

  • Weight: 235 lbs
  • Body fat: 32% (DEXA)
  • A1C: 5.9 (prediabetic range)
  • Fasting glucose: 112
  • Resting HR: 78

Current Stats (Feb 2026):

  • Weight: 192 lbs (-43 lbs)
  • Body fat: 22% (DEXA)
  • A1C: 5.2 (normal!)
  • Fasting glucose: 89
  • Resting HR: 62

Titration Schedule:

  • Weeks 1-4: 2.5mg
  • Weeks 5-8: 5mg
  • Weeks 9-16: 7.5mg
  • Weeks 17-24: 10mg (current)

Side effects experienced:

  • Weeks 1-2: Mild nausea, managed with ginger
  • Week 5: Slight fatigue during titration
  • Currently: Basically none

What worked for me:

  • Tracking everything in a spreadsheet
  • 150g+ protein daily
  • Walking 8k+ steps daily
  • Good telehealth provider who actually monitors labs

Happy to answer any questions about my experience!

This is incredible data, Ben! Thank you for being so thorough.

As a 52-year-old woman dealing with menopause weight gain, your results give me hope. I’m on week 6 of tirzepatide and down 15 lbs so far.

Question: Did you notice any changes in your energy levels or sleep quality? I’ve heard mixed things about how these meds affect sleep.

This is exactly the kind of detailed tracking that helps everyone! Thanks for sharing, Ben. :bar_chart:

@agelessana - I’ve been on semaglutide for 4 months now and can share my experience with energy/sleep:

Energy: Actually improved for me after the first few weeks. I think it’s partly the weight loss and partly more stable blood sugar. Less afternoon crashes.

Sleep: Slight adjustment period in weeks 2-3 (some vivid dreams), but now sleeping better than before. Eating lighter dinners probably helps.

One thing I’ll echo from Ben’s post - having a provider who actually monitors your labs makes such a difference. My A1C and lipids have improved alongside the weight loss, and it’s reassuring to see those markers moving in the right direction.

Keep us posted on your progress! This community is so helpful for staying motivated. :flexed_biceps:

This is the kind of detailed data logging that actually helps the research community! :raising_hands:

A few observations from your metrics:

The dose titration pattern - Smart approach starting low and slowly working up. The “food noise” reduction at week 4 is consistent with what many researchers have documented.

Your protein intake strategy - Maintaining adequate protein during rapid weight loss phases is crucial for preserving lean mass. Were you tracking body composition (lean mass vs fat mass) alongside weight?

The plateau at month 4 - This is common and often correlates with metabolic adaptation. Did you make any adjustments at that point?

Questions for anyone else following along:

  • What’s your experience been with different injection sites?
  • Has anyone noticed differences between research compound sources in terms of efficacy?

Keep logging that data! :bar_chart:
